How It Works

Simple to start. Serious about learning.

Dragonfly CPD is designed to be easy to access and manage — and genuinely effective at building practitioner knowledge and confidence.

The Learner Experience

What your team actually experiences

1

Register with your organisation's code

Staff receive a registration code from their manager. They create their own account using it — linking them automatically to the organisation's package and training pathways. No IT setup, no admin bulk-upload.

2

Access your assigned pathways

Once registered, learners can see the pathways their organisation has purchased. Each pathway starts with Foundation — and they work through it at their own pace, on any device.

3

Complete Foundation — learn the framework

Foundation modules build structured knowledge of the theory and framework. Progress is tracked module by module. CPD time is logged automatically. When you complete it, you get a certificate.

4

Applied — test your judgement

Applied modules present realistic practitioner scenarios. These aren't simple recall questions — they're situations where you have to make a judgement call. Get it wrong and you get detailed feedback explaining why, before you try again. This is where real learning happens.

5

Toolbox — tools for daily practice

The Toolbox is a library of practical techniques, templates and frameworks from the pathway. You tick off tools as you use them in real practice. It's permanently accessible in your account — so you can revisit it any time.

6

Certificates and CPD transcript

Every completed pathway generates a Dragonfly CPD certificate. Your personal dashboard gives you a running total of CPD hours and a full transcript — ready to share with employers, supervisors or professional bodies.

The Assessment Model

Feedback that teaches. Not a test you pass or fail.

In most online training, you answer a question, find out if you're right or wrong, and move on. Dragonfly CPD works differently.

In Applied modules, when you make a wrong choice in a scenario, you don't just get told it's incorrect. You get a detailed explanation of why that approach might cause harm, what the better thinking is, and an opportunity to try again with that knowledge.

This retry-based model means the experience of getting something wrong becomes part of the learning — not a mark against you.

"If the only thing that happens when someone gets something wrong is a red X, you've missed the whole point of training."
Applied Learning — Scenario Feedback
Not quite — here's why
Approaching this situation by immediately challenging the young person's account risks closing down the conversation before you've built enough trust to hear what's really happening. In TRM terms, this response belongs to Stage 2, not Stage 1.
What to think about
At Stage 1, the priority is building safety and connection. Consider what response would help this young person feel heard before you introduce challenge.

Registration Codes

One code. Your whole team registered.

When an organisation purchases a package, their manager receives a unique registration code. That code:

🔑

Links staff to the organisation

Anyone who registers with your code is automatically added to your organisation's account.

📚

Unlocks the right pathways

Staff get access to exactly the training your organisation has purchased — nothing more, nothing less.

💺

Manages your seat allocation

The code is tied to your seat count. When you've used all your seats, no more staff can register until you expand.

📊

Feeds the manager dashboard

Every registered learner appears in your compliance view automatically. No manual adding needed.

Learning Packages

Pre-built packages or fully bespoke.

Dragonfly CPD offers pre-defined packages for common organisational needs — but every organisation is different.

If you need a specific combination of pathways, a particular number of seats, or a package built around a compliance requirement, we'll put something together with you.

🛠️

Bespoke packages

Can't find exactly what you need in the standard packages? Get in touch and we'll build it. Sector-specific pathway bundles, custom seat allocations and bespoke rollout plans are all available.

The Toolbox

Training that doesn't end when the module does.

The Toolbox is what makes Dragonfly CPD different to every other platform. It turns the knowledge you've learned into things you can actually use — and keeps them accessible in your daily practice.

🧰

Technique cards

Concise, practical summaries of every tool and technique from the pathway — written for use in live practice.

Tick-off progress

Mark tools as used when you apply them in real practice. Track your own growth as a practitioner.

🔁

Always accessible

Once unlocked, the toolbox stays in your account. Revisit it before a difficult session, a supervision or a case review.

Common Questions

Things people usually ask

Foundation is usually the required minimum for compliance purposes. Applied and Toolbox are available once Foundation is complete, and we strongly encourage learners to progress through all three — but the pace and priority is managed by the organisation or the individual.
Yes. Dragonfly CPD is designed mobile-first. It works on any smartphone, tablet or computer. Progress is saved automatically, so learners can pick up where they left off on any device.
They don't "fail". They receive detailed feedback explaining the better approach, and they can try the scenario again with that new understanding. The retry model is central to how Applied learning works on Dragonfly CPD.
When your organisation purchases a package, your designated manager receives a unique registration code. Staff use that code when they create their account — it automatically links them to your organisation, unlocks the right pathways, and consumes one of your seat licences.
Dragonfly CPD certificates record the pathway name, the date of completion and the learner's name. They are suitable for CPD records, supervision logs, Ofsted evidence and professional body submissions. If you have a specific accreditation requirement, contact us to discuss it.
Yes. We can combine pathways, adjust seat allocations and configure packages around specific organisational or compliance needs. Contact us to start that conversation.
